    Also do I leave him in there all the time? What if I'm laying in bed, his favorite thing is to lay with me. Do I just keep him in the crate instead? Also I have a one year old weenie running around, should I keep him away from Oscars crate?

    I'll check the pain meds in a minute. Oscar has never been crate trained, he doesn't really like them. Will he get use to one? I have him in there now, and he is whining. This added stress won't do more damage will it?

    He's been to the vet, has anti inflammatory medicine, and pain pills. As far as the wobbly back legs, what can we do? I mean, is there permanent damage we need to worry about?

    Thank you. Oscar has a wobbly back end. With strict crate ing, there is a chance for recovery? Also where can I get that back sling?

    The same thing just happened to my dachshund, only five years old. Slightly overweight. Reluctant to walk, wobbly back legs. My girlfriend and I can't afford surgery...So crate rest and meds (pain medication?) Is our best bet?
