I also just asked my friend the date of birth of the puppies and it was 4/6/13. We will be getting her on May 28th, so she will be 4 days away from being 8 weeks.

That was my theory on the matter too. I've come to see that most dogs and cats that get along were raised together from babies. We plan on having her for a few months before we get a kitten, so my only concern was territorial issues. But I think they will be fine.
