Hi, we've got two dachsies, brothers aged 18 months. They're very, very close and play, chase and wrestle with each other all day long until they roll over for a sleep. One of them has to have a cataract operation in a few weeks and then he'll have to wear a 'lampshade' for about 4 weeks to protect his eye. Our big worry is what to do when he gets home. Obviously we've got to protect his eye post op. Should we be separating them? Put his brother in a kennel maybe? (They absolutely pine for each other when the other's away even for an hour or two.) Or maybe we should put the 'patient' into kennels so he doesn't go charging about and risking his eye? Or leave them to it and let nature take its course?

What would you do? (HELP!)

Our pup Molly had both here lenses replaced she work the cone of shame almost non stop for the 4 week.. I would seperate them is there is a risk of injury post surgery or take some time off and stay with them to prevent the rough play.
