Do you think he's too skinny? Updated photo
I feed my pongo a no grain diet. He gets the proper amount of middle as well as a no grain freeze dried disc daily. I make his treats myself. Liver or chicken or whatever meat I can get cheap. I give him 1/2 cup daily which he never eats the whole half cup at breakfast and at supper he get the disc of freeze dried food.
Now he eats very well.
He is wormed on schedule.
He is fairly active.
He is a little over 1. Weighs about 11lbs max.
I am concerned because iv been stopped numerous times on street by people asking me why he's soo skinny or im told ur starving ur dog. Ect.
I have asked the vet and he said most doxies are over weight and it's better to be a lil under weight than over for them. Wasnt reassuring ( he knows how I feed my dogs, so proably why I got this answer).
As seen in picture my girl Gracie (pug) is plump and healthy pug size.
I'm just scared im a bad mommy or starving him.
But I'm still worried so I figured I'd ask Doxie professionals
