Hello everyone I have just joined and this is my first post, my little friend has just had his operation for his slip disc that happened on Sunday and he had his operation on Monday morning a sad time emotional 🙁everything went well and his surgeon is happy with everything and Charlie is now at home with us and his brother Rio (doberman) and has been order to crate rest for 1 month only allowed out for toilet with support under rear, I am now thinking for the future as Charlie loves being out walking with myself and his brother so I am looking for a proper supportive carrier for him as not to walk him too much could anyone recommend one 👍View attachment 3024

I don't really have any advice about a supportive carrier, but I've had several dogs go thru back problems and surgery. I've never really limited their walking or playing and have had good results. One of them was a wild dog and she lived to be 18 without any recurrence of her problems

Hello Cash Mom that is good news and your dogs were dashouns, before Charlie had his operation we used to walk for about 20 minutes every other day and the days he didn't go out he would play with his brother around the garden and house do you think that's to much for him 😊

Wow! That's a lot of walking! Have you talked to the vet who did the surgery about it?

Sorry predict text 20 minutes every other day 👍

I used a stroller with one of mine. If you are walking in an area with sidewalks that would probably be a good alternative. I used it extensively with him. Just rolled him around the house with me. He was so much happier to be with me than in his crate by himself. You might look into one even if you just use it around the house
