Well, I have good news from our dog-show debut. :) We were 2nd in puppy class and got hp. Reino did really good!! :)

I don't have a tub, so we just went for the lake. I went in the water knee-deep and lured Manu in. After the first paddles it was quite easy. :) All our dogs love to play fetch, so throwing a ball or a stick makes them want to jump in after. ;)

Nell... Poor barbie!! :D She's not having fun in the bath at all...

Reino was 7th on his first match-show. :) He even got some prices. This was good practice for friday when we'll go to his first real dog-show. I'm so excited!!

Manu and Reino went swimming again today. :) Manu can't get enough, but Reino isn't so sure swimming is fun. ;)

These are an issue in Finland as well. In Finland it is recommended that the dogs that are used for breeding have their eyes examined, but it's not a dna-test. The special vet checks their eyes. I just googled this and it is possible to get that dna-test in Finland also, but the website is...

Do you guys have indoor swimming pools just for dogs? We have one nearby. :) Our boys love it! They love swimming in lakes in the summer, but this is great fun during the long winter. And good sport for their long backs also!

Haha! Our youngest is a sock-thief. If he sees a sock, he has to steal it (he's even stolen one from my suitcase). :D He's chewed a few!

In my opinion, dogs have to have free access to water. Always. Unless they have a problem with water, like our rescue dog. He'd drink the whole bowl empty as soon as we filled it. We had to give him water in small portions and soon he learnt that this is not the last water in the world. :) As...

Our boys love kongs too. :) They have special play-time (max 10min at a time) with squeky-toys... Have to think about the neighbours too. ;)

Yep, I'm finnish. :) My husband is getting his hunting license in a few months, so we'll be hunting here also soon. He wants to take our youngest doxie hunting deer and rabbits. Tsemppiä jatkoon!! And do tell us if you make the half-marathon! :) Manu and Reino send high-paws to half-countryman!

I don't see why he couldn't run a half marathon. :) I don't run with our dachsies, but I hike with them. We've done 25-30km hikes in a day and they don't even seem tired afterwards (although they usually run and walk 3x the lenght of the hike :D ). I think you know your dog by now and you can...

Manu and Jussi got a baby-brother in december. :) His name is Reino and he's from Russia. He's now 6,5months old.

Our dogs have the same ball as Mouse! :) Here's our packs favorite toy at the moment. It's a tube for cats, but I thought a doxie might fit there. :) Manu goes inside the tube and Jussi pulls him around the house. :D
