Kennel comfort

Since Georgia will be spending 8 weeks in a kennel, last night I made a sleeping bag for one of the kennels. There are black tabs on top to hold on and keep the front open. She can snuggle toward the back if she gets cold. The 2nd photo shows the foam I cut to fit the bottom and it's fleece pillow case. The dark fabric helps to make it cosy I think and it happens to match the kennel nicely. I did not think bright orange or lime green would be the sleepy color I wanted. lol

One thing about this kennel is that the top and bottom are attached only by tabs, and the top can be removed to have an easier access to the dog if they are totally down. I would not use this kennel on a car trip because it isn't strong enough in case of accident. Do I over think things??? lol I had this set up for Basil a long time ago and hubby's sister used to call it 'the womb'. lol Well, it's back with new bedding. Basil would approve.
