    My 5 year old Patrick goes twice a day-- unless we go on a walk and then he goes about 10 times :) He seems quite fine with his twice a day routine--occasionally 3 times but usually twice.

    Some very extreme separation anxiety

    When I first got my female mini Lolo at about one year old she would "scream" when I left the house. She was OK when I was in the house, but did follow me around and had to be in the same room. I kept her crated when I was at work and when I left and came home I could still hear her...

    You just never know... it could be a great thing for your dogs or a new addition could be a real aggravation to them...I don't think you would know until you tried. I think I am done with the puppy stage-- were I to add a third (which I might at some point) I would definitely go the rescue...

    Welcome! I have 2 minis- one who only goes on pee pee pads (on or NEAR I should say) and the other will go outside if he finds the weather acceptable (no rain, etc). They are pretty opinionated dogs... :)

    New Dachshund Person

    welcome welcome- I have 2 doxies-- one is an early riser and the other will stay under the covers when everyone else gets up... Maybe he's just not a morning dog!:)
